When it comes to summer footwear, Soludos proves there's life beyond flip-flops. Nick Brown, a Londoner who moved to New York, realized his adopted city was severely lacking in classic espadrilles. Having grown up wearing the centuries-old sunny-day style, he set out to create his own, replicating the easy fit and lightweight construction of the originals, down to the jute soles and cloth uppers, but improved their comfort by offering a true left and right foot (old-school espadrilles have an identical left and right). Soludos's exclusive-to-J.Crew version features a chambray lining and a one-of-kind cotton-and-linen body that's washed for a slightly sun-faded look.
